Been tryin to look up numbers and such on these two cams (search sucks now!) And after talkin to a few sponsors ive come down between the F14 of futral motorsports -232"/234" .598"/.598" 112LSA and the VRX4 from vengeance racing -228/230 .588/.592 112 LSA. Goals were to hit around 390rwhp and close to that tq and a very noticable idle. The car is and will be a daily driver so i dont wana go to big of a cam. When the cam goes in these will be going on -YankSS 3600, Ported Fast 92/ Nick williams 92 TB, and all the supporting mods of the cam (springs, timing chain, oil pump) and allready on the car is TSP lontubes and custom 3" true duals. I am going to keep stock heads and maybe later down the road add ported ls6 heads. I just cant decide which i should choose. Any suggestions or reasons not to get either cam? Any input is appreciated

I just ordered my cam and I went with the vrx4. I was told that it should make anywhere from 390 to 410 but thats with a m6. I dont know if you'll make that much through a stalled auto. Either way good luck with the build

FM14 might have been a better choice. @ 3400 raceweight in a 6spd car I went 11.4 @ 120 , stock heads about 2 months ago.
Oh, this was on a mail order tune also.
Then again... you questioned me on streetcarforums (Thacker) So if you want to line them up after you do the install hit me up.

I went with the F14 but haven't installed it yet. I've recently been looking at the el torro cam. I think it is 230/230 .612/.592 111+2LSA. Search chris1313 hes had good results with that cam.

Those are pretty good times for a 6 speed.
I had the eltorro cam and decided to go a differnt route. I plan on doing heads and cam and the eltorro i planned on doin cam only so i decided to get a cam matched more for the heads

Did you ever consider LG Motorsports ?? They have 2 cams that would be perfect for your application. They have a very mild cam called "executive", and then one that is a bit larger the g5x1. Both cams provide excellent power gains, and near stock drivability with proper tuning. Power under the curve is going to be where both of these cams really shine. Were you going larger then I'd have suggested the x2, or x3, and if you wanted insane power there is the x4. I'll go look up the specs and post for you. Don't rule out LG Motorsports for a good DD cam.

Well I couldn't find the "executive" cam specs. What I did find was some of Lou's proven performers.
G2 224/224 580/580 114
G5 224/230 581/572 114
G5X1 228/232 588/574 112 or 114 LSA.
These 3 cams should give you a decent selection to make good power with and be able to DD with a good tune. All baby cams by todays standards, but the trend seems to be going from DONKEY Dick cams for every last PEAK hp that can be extracted from an engine to the more friendly smaller cams that make amazing AVERAGE power across the RPM range vs just PEAK. Just something to consider. Hope my comments help.

I was making 423 rwhp 408 rwtq with the F14 in my Z06. It is the cam I compare everything I do to. I really loved it, and if I build another 346 would use it again without even looking at other cams.

Ls6 stock bottom end. Before the cam I was making 371 rwhp with headers and a tune. I added the cam and the underdrive pulley to get those numbers. I later did a ported TB, Dart 205 heads and jumped up to 452 rwhp 423 rwtq.

If you shoot me a PM with an email I can send you one, but for now the best I can do is an old track video.
