Can u stroke a 5.3? What are the most mods u can do and it still being dependable?

yea you can put a 4"stroker crank in it and bore it to ls1 spec and have a 383

you'll have to get longer rods , replace crank and rod bearings, get the pistons , just order a 4" stroker kit for an ls1

What would be the best head and cam combo? I want to go as big as i can.

Why are you wasting your time with a 5.3? Just find an LS1 or 6.0 block and go from there. For what you are gonna pay in machine work, your money is better spent elsewhere.

i agree
find a 6.0 and build that instead. youre throwing your money away by stroking a 5.3
just rebuild the 5.3 witha .060 overbore, some 241 or 243 heads and a mild cam.
