Default cam question

looking to make my car hit 400 hp my car is also a daily driver though so i dont want a huge cam but somthing i am also able to use for daily driving i am looking to i know this wont happen with out headers i plan on adding them. but i am going to add the cam first.

my current mods are,

SLP lid
SLP bellow
K&N
ported throttlebody
throttlebody bypass
3.73 gears
shiftkit
hypertech power programmer III
Flowmaster Catback

MS3 is a little agressive for a DD. I think you'd be happy with the Torquer V.3 or the Torquer V.2 Any of these cams should put you close to 400 hp.

go big... i just put a custom grind with 248 252 duration and a 112 ls and have been daily driven it untuned for the last month the onlything i did was a maf translater i love it it sounds great

i thought about the ms3 or ms4 but are they too big for a daily drive?

"too big" is a relative term.

some guys daily drive cams like the MS4 and TRex

others find cams in the low 23x range too much to drive daily.


i would go for something like the El Torro cam. its been making great power but tunes for near perfect driveability.
other similar options would be the Futral F12 or F13...possibly the F13 High Lift


oh and you'll also want to get the LS6 intake or go big first and get the FAST.

Just do it right with supporting boltons first and cam later. Without a stall if you go to any cam worth swapping to you will have DD issues. You will also be disapointed in the power gain. Exhaust/stall first,intake next and cam last....
