LSx Propane conversion
LSx Propane conversion I did a search and found very little info so if I missed something.......
Anyway, as some of you know I am building a 2300lbs FFR GTM Super car. I am using a pumped up L33 with hot cam, brother’s intake and LT headers, around 380-400hp. Since the GTM uses the dual gas tanks from the Corvette it got me thinking about dual fuels. One tank for gasoline, the other side for custom propane tanks with possible meth injection.
What do you think????? Ideas.......thoughts......problems........effect on the HP.....

Well to start it is 104-110 octane, it is 90% sourced here in the USA and oh ya huge tax credits (both state and fed). From what I read there is no loss in power and the idea of a 3 sec 0-60 car running on propane is different. I am not a tree hugger but it is much "greener". Also many propane only cars run 15-1 compression. I would think a gas powered car running 11-1 would benefit from propane if they wanted to use no2 or turbo on high compression.
Did anyone see the Mothers (Foose) SS that had over 1000 hp on propane?

That Mothers car was prety slick. I think it used some one off system, or something that's not available on the market yet, but it's different than traditional propane setups. This setup injected the fuel as a liquid directly into the cylinder and not as a gas. The result is something similar to 2-3psi as a boosted application due to the liquid expanding into gas form and the intake temps being realy cold from it. Normal propane setups would normaly loose roughly 10-20 percent power over gasoline. Now, I'm not a perfesional when it comes to propane injection by any means, so if I'm wrong, someone please correct me. On the up side, I think it would be prety sweet *** to do somesort of propane conversion.

i know brad story runs straight propane on his turbo'd yamaha apex and makes somewhere north of 350hp. heres a couple links but they dont provide alot of info
