I would recomend Livernois stage III, LS6 heads. The have 220cc intake runners for good velocity and the LS6 castings speak for themselves.

5.3L castings will work but you have to be careful about intake valve choice (2.02 max on unmilled heads) for plenty clearance.
Some valves have thick base (like Ferrea) and reduce PTV by as much as .020

Another good one would be TEA stage 1.5, 5.3L

Another vote for TEA 1.5's.

My girlfriends car has trapped 120mph many times with these heads and a 224/228 cam in her A4 Z/28.

What are the specs on that cam? If it clears with stock heads, it will clear with our stage 2 heads. Of course we always recommend checking clearance when doing a head/cam swap.

My C5 with our stage 1 CNC heads, 224/228 114 cam, Longtube Headers & X-Pipe, and CAI went 120 mph in the 1/4 mile.

Thank you for your interest, please let us know if you have any other questions.

the El Torro cam specs are 230/230 .612/592 111 LSA+2 xfi/xer

How would ur stage 2 cam do aginst the El torro? cause i like the specs just think i might want it on a 112 lsa for a sooner peak(street car only M6)

Yes, with stock gasket they would have above .080 clearance on intake if cam on 109 ICL.
The stage 3 would be in the .07x range

We did a lot of testing with different camshafts and our heads and the stage 2 / stage 2 combo makes excellent power and retains very good drivability.

I believe from what ive read when i had the eltorro cam its is more specd for stock heads. I believe predator has a 230 232 he called el torros big brother that he specd for heads that was suppose to make some nasty power

Actualy that one is a 236/236 .615/.602 111+2 LSA, what it requires is degreing on install (for no PTV surprizes). It pulls harder on top and likes (requires) more flow
14* overlap (nasty lope), abit less trq below 3500 than El Toro, but more in upper rpms. Trq curve is just as flat as its little brother. Good week end strip cam and it likes 100>150 shots of gogo juice
