Default Head/Cam question

Hey guys I just got a 01 Z06 with a LG G5X3 cam. A buddy of mine has a set of P&P TSP 5.3 liter heads that flow 315@.600 lift. They have been milled to a 59cc chamber. Can I run these heads on my motor without flycutting the pistons? Will the gains be noticable? Should I go ahead and switch over to a P&P Fast 92/92?

The p/v will be to close with a milled head on that camshaft. Your best bet would probably be to send over your stock castings & we can cnc port them & reassemble. We charge $650 to cnc port, valve job, mill & reassemble your cylinder heads.

What kind of power gains would I see from the cnc port and switching to a Fast 92/92 setup? Would that help at all with the cam surge that I have?

I got a buddy who is going to try and work on the tune tomorrow and help the cam surge issue. Is there any aftermarket heads I could use with this cam and not have to fly cut the pistons? I would really like to get to 500rwhp N/A. There is a shop in my area I found out about tonight that can flycut the pistons but I rather not do that.

Well looking at LGs site they sell afr heads so im guessing they suggest running those with the cam. They have a dyno sheet on there of a 04 Z06 with afr 205 heads and g5x3 cam and it made 486rwhp. I personally would run trickflow 215 heads

500rwhp is possible, but it's pretty tough. With the PRC 215 head, ported fast intake, larger tb, electric wp, etc you have a chance. We typically see 40rwhp from bolting the PRC 215 on the LS6 engine!!

Can I run those heads with my current cam? I want 500 +/- you know? It don't got to be 500 on the nose but close would be nice. Send me a PM on how much to buy the heads and the Fast ported 92/92 setup.
