Default Ms3

Hey Iam looking to swap my MS3 for a Torquer cam or something similar to it. The MS3 only has about 6000 miles on it. Any suggestions for a cam? Just gauging intrest here the cams still in the car.

Here is the problem the power band isnt where i want it. Lets be realistic its a street car and the ms3 makes all its power 3500-7200ish with the way my engine is right now i wont be spining it past 6200 plus like i said street car when do i ever see 72000 rpms. Yes the heads are very poor the intake runner is way to big for the cubic inch and the intake setup i have on the car right now. Iam looking for power under a curve not peak numbers. I want to put a set of 205cc intake runners and lower the duration of the cam to bring my throttle response back and my torque lol. Dont get me wrong the ms3 is great cam just not for me The car made 408/378 on a mail order tune and stock heads but i think i can do just as well on smaller cam and be more street friendly.

If you want a more street friendly cam I say go with the very well proven TR224 cam. It will make just as much torque if not more than the MS3 at a much lower RPM.

or the TSP 224R or 228R. you may want to use the 224 though for your demands.

I'd consider the 228R camshaft. It still gives great HP gains up top (peaks around 6000rpm), but retains alot more of that bottom end and mid-range power that you're looking for! The 228R has been shown to work very well with stock heads as well as smaller runner heads like the PRC 215's similar.

Do you have gears? Gear will help a lot. I know what you mean with the MS3 cause I have it too. I just went with 3.90's when I did my rear and that helped a lot, 4.10's would been even better but I like my top end low for hwy cruising.
