Based on this I won't be using his services, nor recommend anyone else to. That's the most BS I've seen in one post in a long time. Either do it right the first time, or you lose good business. That's how it should be.

Tooley is a hell of a salesman at TEA and they do solid work, but to say a hand ported head cannot compare to a CNC'd head is ******* stupid.
Flow #'s are not everything, what about velocity and radius? What about matching the flow #'s to a cam etc? Why does your heads/cam car run almost a second slower then my heads/cammed car with hand ported heads with your motor converter vs my nitrous converter?

Do we have the same heads where you want to do a apples to oranges comparison or do we have the same castings/runners/valves and flow benches. A broad sweeping generalization like that is just ******* stupid.

post up lsx heads that have been 100% hand ported and let the numbers speak.
you cant get it as consistant port for port runner for runner as you can with a cnc.
My new TEA heads are being installed.......my 12.2 time is with my crappy old 806 heads....and pump gas no NOS....Impressive I know.

FLOW #'s are only ONE factor of heads....stop getting so focused on that. You are the typical car and drive magazine racer type.
btw my #'s are all motor, never been sprayed.

Most now use computer modeling to see what FLOW and VELOCITY they can create and how going too far can create TURBULANCE.
Yes I do know people that use to port the old ford and chevy stuff, but even they agree that port to port runner to runner a cnc can make a more consistant job than hand porting.
you have your opinion I have mine, maybe one day we will race and see..
