Bad track...Tried just turning them over a bit, and then geting them really hot..doesnt matter same. I tryed a lot of air and then no air..nothing really changes..I did get a 2.0 60ft, 20lbs and just geting the water off..and leaving at around 21-22..spun a little..not bad though..but missed 3rd..lol and went 12.8s at 109 lol
Last time out, first time I got the launch down hookin really well runnin consistent 1.9 60s ran 12.8s on 3 of 4 runs. Thats on 275 40 17s, 20 psi so a lil thicker sidewall than your 35 series. I can see why you had problems with tire spin, them 35 series dont flex much at all. Do you have a line lock? Are you getting a good burnout to get the tires sticky? Like I said, get some good tires, get your 60s down & you will run low 12s with that car as it sits. Not a bad run considering you missed a shift. Missing gears wont help your consistency, I ended up getting a Tick adjustable clutch master & it took care of the shifting issues I had.

I dumped clutch from 4k w/ stock gear on 275/40/17 nittos and hooked to a 1.89 60ft and did 11.9 @ 117.5 in my ls6 ss, it has a 3.73 gear now though so I'm hoping for a little better time.

Actually, a 315/35 and a 275/40 are going to have nearly the exact same size sidewall. They are listed as the same height.

315*.35=110.25 mm of sidewall
275*.40=110 mm of sidewall

Same sidewall, more sticky in the middle.

Like one of the other guys said, with a good looking track, 3.73 gears and when I still had my LS6 cam but you said 525 lift so you must have the first year 2001 LS6 cam and they weren't the same as the 2002-2004 cam 551/547 I think that I had. With the 2002 LS6 cam that came in my crate motor and the full lenth headers that I have I went 11.90 on M/T Drag Radials and made 386 rwhp to the ground back then with the stock LS6 intake and MTI racing throttlebody. I LOVE my Futral FM13 cam (couldn't be happier) and my car does still have the stock unported heads (243) castings.

See above post.

To the OP, good luck with your Cam choice. Damian was probably one of the smarter guys on the group that replied, and his post looks to have been completely overlooked. A 228/232 with aggressive lobes is plenty of cam for 90% of the guys out there.
