Default stock timing chain?

im thinkin about all these different setups and lately iv been thinking of going with the trickflow as cast heads/ms4ish cam/92/92....and i was wondering if the stock timing chain will hold up for about 5k-10k until i get some more money for the safety mods, thanks

the ls2 timing chain is now the stock one. it is strong as hell and run by many on here problem free. dont even have to change the sprockets.

they dont make the timing chain you have anymore. it was replaced by the ls2 chain. it slips right on in place of the stock one, all you buy is the chain. replace the cam and crank sprockets if they look bad.

Spend the $$$ now. You are right there why risk trashing the whole engine, and if the chain does make it you have to pull every thing back apart and do it twice.

chain is cheap and injectors will be needed on that setup if you are running stockers.
