They have stock replacement to OEM specs but not stock. GM is the only place you can get a "stock" LS6 oil pump. The question is are you doing upgrades because if so the stock oil pump I would not recommend it. I would go with a hi pressure or high volume. I am doing their high volume +18% on a head cam swap.

Thanks for the info, I was actually told that for a "street car" by several sources that many places have had great luck with just a stock replacement oil pump on H/C/I street cars which is what mine will be.....I guess there have been some failures with aftermarket pumps. Either way thanks for the info man.

According to most the melling has a better quality casting. The 10295 has stock flow volume and the 10296 flows 18% more.. 10296 in my ride no probs.....2years & 38K

Sorry for confusing you all, I know what pump I am going with I just didn't know if Melling actually made GM's LS6 Oil Pump, I recently ordered some parts and the oil pump came in a GM Performance Parts box but on the back of the pump said Melling. So my question is I didn't know how a new oil pump came packaged and it came with tons of grease in certain openings and around the center hole. So I am not sure if i was sent the wrong pump or what?
