Heads,CAM,stall, price guestimate
How much am I looking at spending just on parts for Head,CAM,springs, stall prices. I know there are many different options but just looking for a round about pricing?

I am assuming heads would be the most expensive of the parts. Would it still be worth it to go CAM, springs and stall without heads until I get enough saved up for the heads?

do some more research, figure out what kind of power/ET goals you have, and what its going to take you to get there. depending on what you want will determine price, etc. it also depends on what bolt ons you already have.

Right now I have SLP long tubes, High flow cats, cat back. CAI, 12 bolt strange rear end, and should already have the ls6 intake. Not looking to be the fastest on the track but want some nice gains but still have a very streetable car.

I'm right around $2800 not including a stall. I got a good deal on some used AFR 205's and ARP bolts so that helped out a little bit. This price includes heads, cam, having it tuned, all gaskets, pushrods, fluids, etc. I'll come out a bit better than this too since I can sell my 243's and Z06 cam afterwards.

well i really feel like its all relative to each other as a combo. the stall went in first and that was a pretty good improvement, although gave me serious traction problems in first gear. the cam went in second and it was another improvement and made the traction issues even worse. i put on a drag radial next and it helped some. now with 3.73s it pretty much takes off like a champ from any rolling speed. havent gotten to test traction for a dead stop bc the gears are just now breaking in. each mod was an improvement and at the end when you have a bunch of mods is when you realize the car has come a long way towards being a lot faster.

I had mine done by a local dude, who knows his LSx **** front to back! (Gomers bro)
To swap my old trans for my new one, put in the ss3600, and fill it up with fluid was $200
He just finished my cam swap yesterday to be exact...
Cam, valve springs, ls2 timing chain, underdrive pulley for $350
