so i got my car on the dyno and the numbers were really low.... i have full bolt ons and a tr226/226 cam. it only dynod at 343rwhp and around 380torque. it was depressing when i saw the numbers but at the track it ran consistant 12.1s at 111 with a 1.7 60ft. does this seem right or do you think something might be up?

I don't know if it's just me (and I'm an M6 guy and admittedly don't know all that much about auto setups), but that big gap in between the rwhp and rwtq (especially with the torque being that much higher) strikes me as a little odd. But those are just dyno numbers which don't mean **** especially being an automatic.
Was it tuned by a reputable tuner? What gear is in it? What was the weather/DA at the time of your track visit? Full weight? Don't forget, the best mod you can do is just get seat time in the car at the track. It'll go faster.

Z28 with nothing more than bolt-on's and a tune and it dyno'd 373rwhp, but is running identical times to yours. Same best et, same mph, same 60', everything. I wouldn't be too upset about it. As long as it runs the numbers who cares?

yeah it was tuned by a reputable tuner. it has a stock gear in it. dont get me wrong i think the times are fine for what it is being only a small tr226/226 i just thought the numbers would be a little higher. the cars full weight 38** without me in it so i think pulling some weight and getting my 60ft down should get me an 11.9 and i havent even sprayed it yet so im not worried. but yeah its jus numbers i was wondering about

You said you haven't sprayed it yet. Is it tuned for nitrous? If the timing has been set at a safe level for nitrous use the N/A dyno numbers will be a little lower. I think for your mods and race weight the ET and MPH are good, so don't let the dyno upset you.
My car with the 6 speed pulled 435HP with a lean tune. I swapped to the TH350 and with the same tune it pulled 384HP, and after richening to a safe AFR it managed 405. Most with a similar setup to mine would be upset with those dyno numbers, but the track times tell the real story.

yes the conveter was locked. its a yank ss 3600. im running the money maker kit and the shop told me it was running really rich on spray so they said they could only run an 80shot on it. kinda upset about that but the times i ran im happy with. like i said before that was the first time ive ever been to the track and raced my car so i think it still has more in it

its all to do with power curve. you must have a good power curve. dont worry, 300's throughout the powerband are better than peaks at 500
