Nice job!. I have a ls7 for my Camaro. I acquired the motor in pieces and rebuilt it back to stock. I have everything to put it in now but I would like to see my ls6 hit the 10's first.......then look out

OP, I'm curious, what did the engine sleeveing & machining work cost?
While this is certainly a great build and install, it was made up from a re-sleeved LS1 block, LS7 heads and intake. I'm not sure if calling it a "LS7" is all that accurate. A LS7 block is very different compared to a LS1 block.
A actual LS7 block can be had for about $2,700.00
LS7 heads can be had for $3,000.00.
Rotating assembly for 427, $2,600.00.
LS7 intake with rails & injectors, $830.00.
Figure another 3 grand for valvetrain, covers, machining, fasteners, etc.
This is just over 12 grand.
OR (like HUGG said) for 13 grand, a complete built LS7 engine can be bought.

I just meant at first glance. Walking down a row of fbody's with the hoods popped, it wouldn't look much different from a glance walking by. It's not like a car with a supercharger, a billion nitrous lines, or even an aftermarket intake. It's stealthy and looks factory.

I think you should get the new 104mm lid and maf from Fast toys performance... I think you would gain some hp.

I only listed the cost of stuff because I thought the OP went through a lot of effort to get a LS1 block to LS7 status. For a little bit more money, he coulda had the LS7 crate motor without all the hassle. AND, I do believe the LS7 block has some other goodies that make it a better block than the LS1 version. I'm pretty sure GM crate engines come with a warranty too.
I do subscribe to the notion that "there's no replacement for displacement". I'm considering a 582 or 595 low deck big block for the Monte....

I know the LS7's have billet caps don't know what else. If you have ERL wet sleeve a LS1 it comes with billet caps with ARP studs for standard.
Are the GM crates just stock or slightly hotter than stock?
IN the future I can't decide between a C5 Z06 or an older car like a Chevelle or Nova 2
With the new fuel injection controllers out now, I would heavily consider a tall deck or stroker short deck![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)
But.... those days are a ways away
