I didn't think there'd be "only" 10 hp difference....I mean looking at the dyno section there are cam profiles making more power than I am by a lot with bigger cams....hell street sweeper cams with a similiar head set up are making 460 or so with 25 ft lbs more torque than I have. Specs: 236*-240*-111*-.630"-.610
If I had a nickel for every donkey kong cam I removed cause it sucked, or the customer hated it I wouldn't have to work anymore.
I haven't used a cam with over 236 degrees of duration on either side in 2 years, and I consistently do 405-420rwhp in my stock headed cars and 440-460rwhp in my heads/cam cars regardless of the intake or drivetrain. Oh and btw, the cams I use can run a single spring and be lugged at 1300 rpms in 6th gear if somebody wanted to

the streetsweeper HT is a great cam....the thing is it's a lot better than a lot of others (for your goat) because it makes so much torque so early. I've seen some 6 liter guys making 460 plus with that cam. you can certainly go bigger, but if you go much bigger your gonna lose some of that early torque.

Well, I had 243 heads and took them to a LSX specialist in Vegas that rebuilt them, and basically just did a mild port job, milled them a small amount and then did a nice valve job. Put stainless steel backcut valves in and PRC duals. I gave them the cam card so they knew what was going into the car and to tailor the heads towards that. The car makes power from 2000-6900...its fun, its quick....I guess I'm just trying to get some more out of it. I was going to buy a ported fast 92/92 and I was looking at getting it from Tony Mamo actually due to the reviews....money isn't too much of a big deal. I mean I know I didn't go with AFR heads or anything, or do the FAST right out the gate, but I didn't do this on too tight a budget, I spent the money to get the good parts and I had my heads done from a reputable shop. Maybe I'll just invest in some AFRs and the FAST and do those at the same time....eff it. I just don't want to put the bottle on this car....I've driven it cross country multiple times now, and I just don't need to do that to her.

Wolf.........your over on the GTO board, why don't you have EDC custom grind you a cam? Mine with VERY similar mods on an LS1 has put down 431/406 on a MUSTANG dyno and you can see my mods
LS6 Patriot Stage 2 heads
FAST 90/90
SW1 3/4 long tubes
magnaflow cat back
and the EDC custom cam 220/224 110
I think with all the work you have done with the heads and cam your 92/92 setup will really surprise you, but c'mon 2000 bucks for a set of AFR's plus all the hassle of install......i would have Ed Curtis make you a cam first before you go to a new set of heads

That doesn't make effing sense....I have a OTRCAI, long tubes, ported throttle body, 3 inch duals, UDP, the 243s AND the SSHT and make less power then your car is making....is the 90/90 really worth that much?
BTW, this was the cam I was reccomended by emailing back and forth with him...so....yeah.

hmm........welll I have the custom air intake and an underdrive pulley too but they are prolly only worth 10hp max.........who did your tune? EPP did mine. nIce 12.5 to 13.5 AFR all the way to 6800..........I would guess you would be over my numbers with the FAST 92/92.........that is the next step.

It all depends who you get your ported FAST from. Hp cost $$. Good work cost $$. IMO one of the best out there and he deserves the $$ is Tony Mamo with his port work on the FAST.
Also you mention your heads and "some port work", how much is involved in that? that is 1 area I would look at with full port work/VJ etc, optimum quench, SCR/DCR it all adds up.
That little cam has the potential but you just have to tailor your combo to optimise it.
I wouldn't be surprised if you could get in the 460+ rwhp if you work your combo right.
main issue are you ready to dish out the $$. Why not call Ed Curtis and get his opinion on what head work is needed to maximise this cam. He designed it and fully knows his stuff on areas of head to be worked. If anyone can advise you on that it is him.

FAST was done by Vengeance racing and they always had great results here, I'm not complaining about it(17rwhp is very respectable, but from 4500-6400 its a bit weaker than other I've seen), I'm just saying that some cars get really small results from the FAST swap.
I dont have all the knowledge to match every component as good as you; I have to pay plp to do it for me and sometimes even those plp dont know **** too!! so I try gather the best info I can and do some try and learn sesssions

Tune was done by Nicd and it was tuned on a hot day in Phoenix on a supposed low reading dyno. whateva.
I was/am into S10s...had 2 4 cyl 5 spds and a 5 spd 2dr blazer on nitrous....I'm currently looking for a 98-02 bravada to put typhoon manifolds on and do a turbo setup for a beater car.

Of course evrything is about money Pred-z!! If I had the money, I would drop the car to a reputable shop and ask for an H/C LS7 drop in my damn car LOL

I learned to make better decisions after years of countless F** U**. Bottom line look for independent proof on items to buy, not just retailer hype.

weighed out at 3800 with me in it last time at the track. Has 3.73's. At this stage I'm probably going to get the MAMO ported fast 92/92 and go from there.
