Default helpp! problems after cam install

put in ms4, prc duals melling oil pump and hardened pushrods. put it all back together. started her up and had to feather the throttle to keep it runnin. it ran for about 5 minutes with oil pressure at like 70 which seemed high to me and i heard a pop folllowed by white smoke. looked under the hood and the valve cover gasket was blown completly out of place. idk what to do so please help me out guys

Did you pull the valve cover off and take a look? The oil pressure didn't just blow the valve cover gasket out.

sounds like your engine isn't venting crankcase pressure.

If PCV is clogged or stuck shut it won't vent back to the intake and that pressure has to go somewhere.

depending on what year ur car is, the valve is above the passenger side valve cover.

If the valve cover blew out then the engine aint venting good, like what {ellanboggs} said..But for the white smoke, you will usually see white smoke if you are burning oil or coolant.
Did it get hot ? ?
