Default my combo on a 408

I am looking into getting a 408 short block, I am wondering how well the upper components will do. On a stock bottom end I made 465rwhp and 430rwtq. The parts are ET 215 heads milled to a 56cc chamber making about 12:1cr, ported fast 92/92 setup, I do have a maf but plan on going speed density, 1.75 QTP headers. My goal is to be well over 500rwhp, would these heads be sufficient on a 408 and would all of my stuff like the oil pump and timing chain set swap right over to the 408. Thanks for any input.

Sounds ok, depends what you mean by "well over" and what is the goal for the car. Mine was 90% street fun, no racing, just 2-3 annual track visits...I just got my 408 running and the most impressive over the LS1 was the TQ. Cam selection is important, what was rough on a 346 isn't on a 408. The head cc volume may be an issue. I'm no expert on the cc volume for Comp ratio but for sure negative dish. For me, my 243 CNC heads needed -10. Bottom line all parts will bolt on to the LQ9.
