Default Heads ???

Hey everyone, I have an 01' SS M6. It has a Comp Cam 233/239 .595"/.605", Pacesetter LT's w/ORY,Flowmaster cat-back,25% UD pulley, and 4.10 gears.
I am currently looking to buy heads and FAST 92/92, maybe possibly 102/102 if I decide to go with L92 heads. Anyway, I have a few different heads in mind. My family has worked for various parts of GM for years so I get GM parts for extremely cheap. So,naturally I have been looking at maybe some CNC ported LS6 heads from GMPP. I have also been eyeing the TEA stage 2.5 LS6 heads,TFS 225cc castings, and TEA L92 heads. What I am asking is what do you guys think would be a good combo to go with. I am not a doctor or lawyer,so a 454 LSX with TFS 235's is out of the question. I just want to have a naturally aspirated car that puts down say 450-475 rwhp without causing my wife to leave me Thanks for any suggestions and help! Take care.

AFR or TEA heads will do the trick. I am in the same situation.

Dont forget the PRC 215 cylinder heads. They feature modified valve angles, PRC Springs, CNC Ported Chambers & Runners, and setup for stock rockers!! For right about $2200 you get a fully cnc ported aftermarket casting cylinder head combo that currently holds the record for quickest stock bottom end heads cam car in the country!!

L92 heads wont work on your engine you need a 4.00" bore or larger for them to fit.

I was in the same boat, I need cylinder heads but like being married!!! There are many good CNC stock casting heads out there($1200ish). I went with Lingenfelter.

I would look for a set of CNC'd LS6 (#243) heads and make sure they have the lightweight valves!!

I do like the stage 2 TEA LS6 heads! They are almost definately what I will end up getting, unless something else that flows just as good pops up in the next week or so. If do go with those heads, would I still be good with my Comp 233/239 .595/.605 112LSA? Should I keep that cam and go with 1.85 RR?

Kinda random but didnt want to start a thread for this question, but i have a set of 243s and was thinking of getting them ported, how much does that usually cost?

I would check out Total Engine Airflow(TEA). They do amazing things to a set of cylinder heads! I am almost positive that they had alot to do with the design of the TrickFlows. Check them out. They are a sponser here on LS1Tech. I'm sure you can find what you need through them. I actually just landed a set of their stage 1.5 LS6 heads. They are an absolute work of art!
