Default PRC 215 vs Trick Flow 215???

I am looking for some advice about what heads to go with. Of course everyone knows that the PRCs are running on the fastest head and cam car in the country. However everyone always has great things to say about Trick Flow other than they are expensive.

So i want to know what everyones opinion is on which heads to go with. I have already pretty much decided on the Tick Performance Polluter Cam. So i just need to make a decision on the heads to compliment the Cam. I am sticking with a stock bottom end and dont have any plans for spray.

Please Chime in.

Thanks
Matt

You are going about it backwards, first choose the heads and then match the cam.
Cam is the last thing that goes in a motor.

It's a shop car, of course it's going to get everything thrown at it, so be careful when compairing results. Ask them if they will see you those exact heads, off that car... I'm guessing no since they are one off custom peices.

Yeah, your probably right. Once those guys see it, my posts will be erased because I didn't say that TSP is the best in the world.

Did their car go the time they said, yeah, but it's far from what you or I drive, and probably would never meet the specs of the lsX shootout.

I have never used Trickflow heads, but I'm very happy the way my c5 drives with the PRC 215's and MS4.

Actually the production heads are better, the TSP car had the first set ever, no accessory holes, had to use thread inserts in the rocker arm holes, used one of the first valvejobs that line of heads seen, etc. I'm sure Jason would sell the entire engine for a decent price, but it's not for everyone.

That car is no different that the top half dozen cars on that list, all of them would move with that engine/trans setup.

Have you had a chance to run your car yet? Should run badass, I'm just curious since we make similar power and live in the same area. I havent had a chance to run mine yet either. Do you put a small shot on it now? I was thinking it put down 445/408 after the H/C swap.

Broke the record at the shootout, but did it qualify for any of the categories or rules?
