For poseurs who only use theirs on the street, 5W-30 is fine whatever brand.

M1 15W-50 here as well, Baldwin oil filter. I beat the **** out of mine on Pocono Raceway's road courses and Lime Rock Park at 30+ minute sessions at a time, that 5W-30 crap turns into water when it gets past 250degF temp for any amount of time.

My dad uses valvoline 10w-40 and when people tear his engine down, they immediately ask what oil he uses because its so clean.
Of course that is just for regular stock engines.
If your going for synthetic i would go with valvoline's synthetic, im sure it does the same work on your performance engine.

GC, Bosch filter. Oversized filter if you're not lowered, IMO, #3423. It will stick out below the oil pan by a little bit. Never a problem in my opinion. If you don't like the idea then go with a Bosch filter, whatever the regular size one is.
RP isn't bad but it's overrated. GC is better.
Stay away from Lucas either way.

The break in includes zinc and other metals that can only be added in small amounts to off the shelf oil. Zinc acts as an anti wear additive but I guess it doesn't mix with cats too well. Oh I've also built my car in my garage from the ground up! I might know just a little bit.
