Sleeper cam

The cam predator speced has -1 degree of overlap, so it should be fairly quiet at idle. Youll know it's not stock, but shouldn't be too aggressive...
Here's a tr224 in a 5.3 that's been tuned... just for sound reference...

and that cam has -4 degrees of overlap, which should have a lesser aggressive lope than the cam predator spec'ed...

TR224 with a 116 lsa here. She's very very loud under WOT, (and nasty sounding) lol but I attribute that to my LT's and GMMG...although the cam did help a little. Under normal driving it's very civil. It idles and sounds pretty damn close to stock.

Predator will respond sometime with the lope issue, I'm sure. That cam he spec'ed would be great, but would lope a bit. I think you'd be happy with it, though... If you go longtubes, definately get some magnaflows if you want it to be quiet.

-1 degree overlap, so no overlap, no lope
Do not be worried about lift, those lobes are gentler than XE-R (just a tad).
Also you keep emphasising on stall, stall will net you better gains than cam. Trick is to hook, 1/8th mile is a 60' show so concentrate on that.
Basicaly do a good 60' and you'll have a good 1/8th.

I've had a couple of baby cams in the goat over the years. The LPE GT2-3 is a nice all around cam that makes good power. Nobody will ever know its in there.
I'm running an FTI 220/224 cam now. It's also a great all around cam that makes a lot of power. More torque than my old Comp 228/232 and almost as much HP. Has a slight hint of lope but not a lot of people will notice. Perfect blend of power and cruising with this cam.

What about something on gentler lobes for a daily driver. I don't care about my 1/4 mile numbers just want more power on the street and not radical sounding idle. XE lobes will probably be good. So something like a 220/224 111 +1 LSA. It will have an overlap of 0. IVO 0 IVC 40 EVO 44 EVC 0 SCR 10.37 DCR 8.15
