Camaro LS1 Corvette LS1
Correct me if I am wrong as I have a Vette, but I thought one of the first mods to the f-body was a lid due to the restrictive nature of the stock setup. Anyone know how much hp a lid gets when you do this? It was my understanding that basically the f-body motor was breathing through a straw.
I picked them up at http://www.aatcars.com/engine_covers.html. I got mine off of their eBay posting, so it was a little cheaper than the advertised $199.00. But I still would have paid the $199 knowing now they kind of workmanship they do.
In case you were wondering, my order was for the base a gloss black, with the upper section "crinkle black", with silver fins edges and lettering.

yeah it looks real clean with those covers and the other painted accessories under the hood. 
oh and just as a side note, SLP claims as much as 20hp over stock with the flow pac kit.

I've had these on for...a while now. I find it interesting how sometimes as soon as some1 sees this particular mod I've done, it's a mod they've also been wanting to do but, I guess, they never thought of going to a Corvette-serving website. I tellya, it took me a while to find this company. And as I hinted to earlier, I could give a rat's *** what negative comment people have to throw. Oh, and by the way, just for the record, I've never had anyone talk sh*t about my covers. Sometimes I just like to post stuff just to see how many other 'camaro owners respond to what I've done but they didn't want to get flamed by those like yourself, just because they want to do something different/unique. And as you can tell from this post, it's definitely been a topic on many owner's minds, particularly b/c so many people have some point of view to bring up.

Reguardless of what you think. I think it is funny that chumps on LS1 tech have to hate on people and there mods. I have a guy in my town just like this. Just a hater! "And that I think is Funny."

Let people on here, who work hard for their money Post up their pride and joy that they dump emotion and payroll in with out harassing them. It isnt a great way to do things.

So what it boils down to is this;
The Corvette and Camaro bring the same Engine specs as the C5 exept for the LS6 set up.
The weight is the deciding factor between the two.
Realistically what it comes down to is the driver.
I own a Corvette and with the right set up the Fbody will eat a Corvette yet because of the weight and aerodynamics usually over 100 to 120 MPH is what makes the difference but not always. The link was to a guy's Vette I knew. This thing was an animal, but it met its match, am sure most of you all have seen it but enjoy Fbody guys.
