Default b383 strokers - any pass tuff emissions tests?

..So my recent expereince with the sniffer police in NY has me a tad spooked about my next proposed mod.

Anyone out there with a 383 stroker (heads, cam, headers, etc,) that has hydrocarbons of 60 ppm or less?

...all this unnecessary legislation makes me feel like I live in a police state...this is putting a real dark cloud over the go-fast aftermarket....

you could always build a power-adder setup. High power, stock emissions levels.

My all-bore 382ci passed the Houston sniffer test with the T1 (221/221) cam, FLP headers with cats. 455 rwhp/440 ft-lbs

Yeh I just squeeked through the NY test with 55ppm hydrocarbons (allowed is 60) ... I initially failed, then got a tune and put 12 bottles of dry gas in for the test...

my mods are heads, cam, LTheaders, all bolt-ons...
cam is 220/220, 564/564, 112

I'm thinking a stroker will never pass this NY test...

Unless you go with a much larger cam, a stroker will probably pass easier, as the cam on a bigger engine will be milder. Also a 114 or 115 LSA has a better chance of passing, as the smaller overlap will help emissions.
