Shims or a 7.370" pushrod?
Does anyone know where I can get some 7.370" pushrods? Do they even make them in increments this small? If not, what can I use to shim the stock rockers.020"? Thanks.

They told me to buy there damn adjustable rockers. I know they make them for valvesprings but those are a bit too big for the rocker stands.

Just run a 7.350 pushrod and let it go -- I'm assuming since you DON'T have adjustable rockers, you're still hydraulic -- I'm betting your lifters can take up .020 Heck I've been running 7.350's for three years now..

Oddly enough the 7.350's were just fine with this same deck height and the same heads milled .030". The only things changed that would matter are a new XER cam and Comp R lifters. These lifter seem to want a tiny bit of preload and no more. They are still. With the 7.350's some of the rockers are loose to where you can rattle them with the motor off.

I have a 238/240 .605/.609 XE-R in my motor, with the R lifters, 7.350 pushrods, stock rockers no shims.. The heads have been skimmed twice, but not milled (probably around .015" - .020" or so). My preload is right around .005 to .010" so when the motor is cold it chatters its little head off Once it warms up, nice and quiet. Makes power clear up to 7k

Crane also sells those shims. I got some from PAW (Performance Automotive Wherehouse). You need to check the preload on every valve and shim them respectively. The shims are just small rectangles that fit under the rocker rail. Do it right the first time and get rewarded with a quiet engine.
