Default Bigger Valves ?

Will bigger Valves ( from 2.02 too 2.04's) hurt lower
end torque ? What are the Pros & Con's of these
valve choices in stg.2 LS6 Heads ( besides flycutting
the pistons) ?

No they won't hurt low end torque, but remember the bigger the valves, the more weight they have which leads to the need for stiffer valve springs and can result in lower reliability. Note that GM chose to use light weight hollow valves for the LS6 heads. Also, at some point the valve gets shroulded by the cyilinder walls so you really need a bigger bore to go with the really big valves.

I believe that anything bigger than 2.05 on a stock CI motor is going to start shrouding the chamber. If you stick with the 224, I don't think you will have to fly cut. Always good to check though.

A stock 346 incher does not require the a large valve area. The 202 should be suffiencent.

You can order 6.0 liter ported truck heads that have the same ports as LS6 heads, but have the chambers welded up to get compression rather than being milled off. That will give the best P2V clearance.
