Unhappy i need help

i have a 98 ta with 136000 miles on it and im burning oil. i go to college so i dont have a big budget to spent. i was wondering what yall suggest. at the most id like to spend 2500 to 3000 . thanks

How much oil is it using per 1000 miles?

Make sure that your oil is not low, check it regularly.

Might want to try putting a new pcv valve on and seeing if that helps.

Also what kind of oil are you using? If you are using synthetic switch to non-synthetic. Try a heavier weight oil (10W30 non-synthetic). This may not help if you have major consumption, but this with a new pcv system will most definately help.

Sounds like a synthetic. Switch to a 10w30 non-synthetic first, then look into the PCV sys. PSJ was talking about above. If neither of these work then your rings are probably toast.
