Actually I'm going tomorrow but not with the truck. The lockup in the converter quit after 3 years of puishment so I waiting for it to show up next week.

I'm running the stock ratio but they are the Scorpion non adjustables. They were cheap and pretty. Checked them last week and so far they are good.

The Thumper cam is not that hard to make idle. Raise idle speed to 750-800rpms, set base timing to 30-35*, add some air with RAF, raise Park air a little and make sure commanded and actual AFR agree.

Good stuff. I'll have to keep that in mind. My cam seems to be working ok, car could use a stall but it works with street tire so I can't complain. A little more tuning should get me in the 12.40's thru the manifolds.

didn't read everything here but u saw that you did mention a cheatr cam.... I'm running thunder racings ls2 cheatr cam and it runs pretty decent. I put 400 to the tires with my 6.0. I
have no experience with the thumper cams

Will the Thumper lobes hold a 1.8 rocker ratio? That would get the lift back up to get the most from ported or aftermarket heads...

Damn! That truck Flyes!, Great Job, Gives me Motivation to finish mine!, Thumper cams work well for they're intended application just like any Camshaft, FWIW Wide LSA Cams allow More Static Comp Ratio than Narrow, the Later Closing Intake valve is what determines that

I was wondering about this cam for a future build but my MS4 made 400 whp w a shity LS2 intake stock heads on a 346ci Going to thro a FAST on her and see what happens

i am thinking of putting the bigger thumpr in my 402 with my crane cam 1.85 ratio rockers, how would driveability be and tunning?
