New motor leaks oil
I just bought a motor from a guy off ebay and he told me he had the motor on an engine dyno to see wut kind of power it was puttin out. well i got the motor and put it in and started filling it with coolant and it poured out of the back of the pass. head because there was no plug in it. fixed that . then we started the motor and it "runs good" considering it has a big cam in it, BUT oil started pouring out the little slit in the bottom of the bell housing, we figure its the rear main or something but dont u think "if" he had it on a engine dyno that he would have noticed oil gushin out of the back of the block. And now the f__kin guy changed his number and isnt answering his email anymore and ebay cant do anything about it "i guess". Oh also for got to mention that he didnt send the set of brand new pacesetter headers,Y pipe, new coil packs that he listed in the ad. dont know why i put this on here i guess im just venting.

exactly why I hate EBAY- you just never know. Defeinatly let ebay know.
Do you know where the guy lives, someone one here could make a visit to his house or may know him.
I would tear down the entire motor to see what is in it- bearing clearences and PTV comes to mind. What kind of ls motor is it?
Sorry about your luck.

the motor is an ls1 for my 00 ws6, the guys name is victor salanis and is from texas and works on oil rigs is all i really know, the motor sounds very solid other than the oil leak so far, and its hard for me to just tear the motor down cuz im short on time and work space plus im doin it all in my garage so no lift or anything. i also did let ebay know but i did a split payment so its hard for them to do anything "is wut they tell me" and i did let my credit card company know and did a dispute but it could be months before i get my money back if at all.

What crankshaft is in the engine? Could be the little freeze plug in the back of the crankshaft in addition to the rear main seal and gasket!
