anyone got specs on the valve spring tool pictured here you know...this one...Im doing a cam swap in my brothers vette and my dad is willing to machine me one of these...specs please and specs of the theaded rod as well

I made two of those 7 years ago for my very first cam swap and have used them multiple times and even let some non-believers, who thought it was junk, use them when their "special" tools wouldn't fit under the cowl.

I agree, I made one and it worked great, gave it to my buddy that owns a shop and now he uses it. Junk, I don't think so, maybe you just don't know how to use it or if you made it you did it wrong.
