Hammer Cam Question
My first post
Anyway, I just got this car and am wondering what you all think of the cam and setup? I have no dyno or track numbers to go by. Where would this cam make most of its' power? Thanks.

Thanks. I had a 93 Z for close to five years and moved up in the world! I guess I need to look into heads, LS6 intake, ported TB next if I want to get 400+ rwhp. I don't plan on drag racing the car exactly, and don't want to go 12 bolt, nitrous, or turbo/supercharger, but I just like that number.

I have the mti 222/222 112lob hammer cam in my m6. it's a great cam, idles smooth(some engine shake)sounds nice, pulls hard from 3,000 to 6,400 rpm's and has been a great daily driver cam. with heads and MOST of the boltons i got 424.1hp & 408.4tq if your car is a m6 get the 112lob. goodluck to ya.
Is the cam in your car now the one in your signature? If so, the only difference is the 112 LSA vs. your 114. Are you swapping? I like mine. Nice idle, strong pull...a great street/strip cam, for sure.
I have the cam in the car now. I am ignorant when it comes to internals, thus I was just wanting some info about the setup the previous owner has in it now. I have played around with the car some, but not too much as I have only drove it around 50 miles since I got it. I was also wondering what kind of power it has now and what I should look into getting down the road. Thanks everyone!

By reading the signature, it looks like you've got some quality components there. The cam is a good one. On a 114 LSA, the only difference should be that the power may peak a couple hundred RPM's higher in the RPM range than with a 112 LSA. The cam will work well with
stock heads and even better with ported ones. Enjoy!
