Default Drastic oil pressure change after oil change.WTF please help

Ok so i have never had a issues with not enough oil pressure or to much until the other day.I had castrol Syntec i believe 10w30 or 10w40 and no issues ,wot say around 65-70psi.So today i change the oil and my friend got the wrong oil for me but i done had it drained so i had to use it .and it was Valvoline max life synthetic blend( for higher milage engines) 5w30.had good pressure at idle and all,But when cruising i was Really close to maxing the Gauge out.

So i check the oil and i am about "Almost" half a court over the operation mark on the dipstick so that should not be the case .And today when driving to work i go to pass a car and it buried the pressure gauge and when i slowed back down and was just cruising it took a second or so to drop back down and consistently why driving it is on the 3/4 mark just cruising along at like 2800rpm.

Whats up with this,This is worried me to no end.Never had it do this or come close to being that high of pressure. With the other oil i have used. The oil pump is around a year or so old ls6 ported pump and also a 1 year old oil pressure sending unit .???Thoughts please help guys i am so worried about damaging my engine .

"Valvoline max life synthetic blend( for higher milage engines)"
Likely has a blend of "stuff" to help w/ oil psi on worn out engines??
A Google and this is what U get for an explanation.

Change it to GC 0W30 with a K&N 2006 filter. Been using that combo for years.

If you're concerned, just change your oil. Replace it with what you normally run. If the gauge reads normal, you'll know it was the oil. If not, you know you have another problem. I know oil isn't cheap, but an ounce of prevention...

You put in a different thickness oil. Do you expect it to be identical in all respects? Pay attention to it, but leave it alone or change it.

i doubt the filter is clogged it is brand new and went straight from the box to the car,And i know changing weight in oils changes your psi .But they should not bee no 30-40 psi gain just from a diff oil weight.

I honestly dont know what the deal is but im changing it all out again this evening going back with good old fashion Conventional 10w30 castrol see if this makes a difference. If not ill dig deeper
