Default 6.2 Liter LS7?

I saw some Gen3 block castings today, Aluminum with 6.0/6.2. cast into them.
No windows are cast into the main bearing bulkheads, unlike LS1/6, which probably means dry sump.

Just did some quick calculations. If the block is stamped 6.0/6.2, I would assume that the bore is the same @ 4.0" Increasing the stroke to 3.75", up from 3.62, will give a total dispacement of 377ci or 6178cc ~6.2L

If you have tehm, then it would be really nice to know if the bolt pattern is the same as the current LS1/LS6. If you can get a full set of pics, escpecially the front cover area, the top of the cylinder, and the mains area, that would be fantastic. If you need help hosting the pics that can certainly be worked out...

Sounds a bit suspicious, unless he works for the General.

Then he may have 6 of them at work.

His profile says he's a plant manager, I get the impression he doesn't check the board that often with ~54 posts since Dec of 01.

Likewise, it would be nice to know if that 90 TB will fit on an LS1/LS6 intake.

I think that's exacly what your heard, a rumor, and for my $ GM doesn't have the ***** to make the LS7 a 427, but if they did/do, that WOULD ROCK, especially if it slipped into the engine bay of my 03 Z06!!!!!

Well, the 6.0L has been confirmed as the standard 2005 Corvette's LS2 motor but the 'other' size being tossed around was 6.4L (LS7?) I thought, not 6.2L...interesting.
And yes, there was also talk of a 7.0L (as well as 500hp and possible supercharger) for the upcoming C6 Z06/Z07/LS7 (or whatever it will be called) model.
