Pretty sure you need to drop the engine. Not enough clearance under the cowl.

LS1 heads can be installed and removed with no problems, IN the car WITH head studs. There is plenty of room.

Yah no problem at all. Just make sure you retighten the studs before reinstallation. Mine loosened up a bit when pulling them out after a p/v test.

Not going to bug ESP to pull off my heads to check the gaskets. I'll rip it apart my self, no prob, just herd stories about doing it with studs.
EastSide does stuff i dont know how to, and they do a great job with it.
Why dont you call DEZ and have somthing done to your car. Seems the car has run 13's for two years now? Weird, somone with your knolage and comments only runs 13's.
Oh well.
And If i need a hand maybe i'll have Don help out. he does good stuff ive herd, You should hire him to do your car.
Thanks to everyone ealse for honist answers.

The only problem with removing/installing heads with head studs is the driver side header can sometimes get in the way just enough to be a pain - you just have to get it in the right place (depending on what headers you have) to get the head on the studs. The only other thing I would say is make sure you have a couple pen magnets (like the ones used for cam installs). They help tremendously to help make sure you don't lose a nut or washer when pulling the heads off. Other than that its straight forward.

Yes I've had mine off 2x's with studs on to upgrade valves and have MTI do a few lil tweakes to them...PLENTY of room...I beleive they're easier than regular bolts...BUT THAT IS MY OPINION... ;-)

Huh what? who? I wasnt attacking you? I asked who you were talking too. Gee offer help and look how Im repayed. As for you and Joe I know he can take care of himself and you for that matter.I was simply stating its driver not his car. And Little brad, word of advice, I dont care what your tired of ok. I dare you to push my buttons. Im begging you. We dont have a problem yet, but you keep talking like we do? Look in the mirror, theres alot of people in here with a problem with you. Relax..I am. And what are you talking about with the "my car should go 9's" crap. I didnt say anything about your car? You feeling ok, need a hug?

I posted to see what was going on with your shop, just wondering if they were up to anything special. I brung up Don because I know it’s nice to have a ready source of help when your in the middle of something so you don’t get stressed out and worked up.

Your response is exactly why I treat you the way I do………………maybe one day you’ll understand. Be a man Brad, this ghetto boy **** will hurt you more than help. I rather be on neutral terms the next time I see you, no need for any dousing but at times I think you want to test people to see how far they go and there is a point where you cant turn back.

Oh yea ........ Brad, about the car e/t times.

I don't care about your times, I never have and I never will. Don't ever speak to me looking for respect because you have a fast Camaro, it wont work. The cars times and how I think about you are not related. Jeepers creepers.

Hey brad, waz up? I see your running a spool in that thing now. How's it for street driving? I finally got off my *** and ordered some long tubes I only got to the track once this year. Man having a child takes away all your time, oh well, he's worth it.
