Default UMM please help

well i did it I ordered the tsp package with the 5.3 stage 2 heads, 231/237 cam.Spec clutch new slave. now heres the dilemma. I need to know does this package come with lifters? if not do i need new ones? where do i get them?
also the local speedshop doesn't have a listing for headbolts specifically for the ls1 but he has them for small block chevy's. are they what i need? or do i need to order specifically ls1 bolts? i'm lost thanks for the help

When I had my cam installed I had the same question about the lifters. I was told that there was no need to replace them unless you had alot of miles on the car.

BTW, it looks like you are going to have a pretty stout setup when your finished. Good Luck

Look into ARP Head studs instead of head bolts, and no the small block chevy arent the same. Lifters are $200 might as well do them now while you have everything out.

i believe TSP sells them also
or you can just buy the GM bolt/gasket kit and save a few bucks

I thought that the packages came with the gaskets and bolt kit. If not then get them from Scoggins dicky (sponsor)>>>>>>>>>>. Dont go to a dealer, you will get charged up the ***.
Stock lifters are fine.

since you have a 98 i'd replace them. the heads are gonna be off and theres no better time to do it. i picked up my comp 850 lifters from TR for 178 during there sale. i bought all my head bolt and gasket **** from paceparts, came out to be just a tad ove 100.
