360 cam
27 arp crank bolt
120 heads
228 arp bolts/headgaskets/ls2 chain
225 pushrods/valvesprings

$960 total. I'm pretty sure that's everything. You could save about $125 by using stock GM headbolts, or depending on your year model car put the money towards an oil pump. My car is a low mileage 2002, so that's why I'm reusing the stock one.

And like I said earlier, TSP had some $300 cams, so save another $60.

But, even if you found some ~$400 heads, used GM headbolts and crank bolt, and got a $300 TSP cam, it would still come in right about $1000.

I've seen good used cams from sellers on here going for ~$200!

I don't know if your car is an automatic or not? If automatic, spend the money on a new torque converter and worry about motor mods later.

I got them locally. I also bought a set of LOW mile 243 heads for $250. Deals are out there, just gotta keep an eye open. Really I only bought these 799 heads because the deal was so good, now I've decided to use them.

Yes, GM crank bolts are TTY and only about $5. An ARP crank bolt is $26.

ARP bolts are stronger and reusable, but GM bolts are fine on a head/cam swap if you want to save money.

Did different years have different oil pumps?

So did I lol!! Also forgot to mention if you go with 243/799 bring them to a machine shop and have them mill .015"-.020" this will put you at 62cc chambers. 62cc + GM MLS + stock pistons = 10.98:1 compression. This cost me $50 to have the heads milled and $28 for gaskets, cheaper than a set of .040" cometics.

What size pushrods did you end up needing?

Intake was around 7.325" for 0 preload and exhaust was like 7.315" or so not sure I would have to check my numbers. I also am using LS7 lifters and my valve job sunk the valves down a little into the head, always measure to make sure. I wanted 7.35" but I wanted the engine together that weekend and all I found were some 7.4"s. It will be different depending upon your cam. My cam doesn't use LSx lobe profiles so its not apples to apples. A proper valve job is very imporant on stock gm heads, the stock valve job is ****. Mine didn't seal worth a crap and was not concentric at all. I performed my own 5 angle valve job... very very time consuming but I think it was worth it. Oh ya and I don't run 5/16" push rods, my setup will spin to 7grand no problem.

Oh before I forget I would have them cut 215CC runners instead of the factory ones, that will help out a lot in your low and mid range response.
