Default zo6 cam in 5.3 pickup

i got an 03 chevy 5.3 pickup, could i throw a zo6 cam in and not change anything else like valvesprings and pushrods or tune

you need the ls6 valvesprings which are about $50 you also need the longer pushrods as the base circle for the ls6 cam is smaller by .5. you can get away with a stock tune for awhile.

you at least need to change the springs, which are ls6 springs and are cheap as ****. i know the
ls6 cam picks up a whole lot in the 5.3's so im not sure on the tune, ill let someone else come in and answer that.

You'll need springs. A tune is optional but I'd recommend it.
BTW, if you are a heavy full sized truck and like torque, the LS6 cam has poor low end torque and will be a dog below 3000rpms. It will move pretty well in the upper rpms though. Tons of info in the truck forum.
