Default Cheap Stroker?

Hey guys is it possible to have the 4.00" ls7 crank modified to fit a stock 5.3 block without changing the rods and pistons? I was reading the Dec 09' issue of car craft where they took a oldschool 350 block and added a 4.00" crank to it instead of the tried and true 383 setup, and what they came up with was a torque monster sbc. So my curiosity has me thinking about the torn down 5.3 I have on the stand...... Can anyone tell me if this same route can be taken with the 5.3?

no you need to change at least the pistons to match the 4.00 stroke and if your going to try make good hp i recommend changing the rods also.

exactly you leave it stock and just do a 4 inch stroker kit. It will just be a torquey truck style motor.. Its all in the heads cam and intake to achieve the rest

Don't go the cheap route, you'll regret it. Save up, spend the bux it'll be worth it in the long run. $.02
