Nothing different on install. It simply means that the intake duration is longer than the exhaust duration. Usually, guys do the opposite.

If you want to know "why" more intake duration than exhaust duration makes better torque, you'll have to ask someone else. I searched dyno graphs online and found a few that matched what I needed. I then called up the people and talked to them about the cams.

The TR230/224 was the best mix of power and reliability that I could find. It wasn't absolutely insane, so I didn't have to worry about parts failures halfway through a race. But, it gave very nice power.

Are there any specs that a cam should have so that I get the torque range I want (1800-6200)

Are there any issues with driving cammed cars on the highway?

Don't get hung up on numbers in an A4, they simply eat more power, especially with a stall and gear. They will, however, **** and get down the road.

Upgrade to a FAST intake, TB, and a small/moderate cam (224/228 or TSP228) to get where you will be happy. You'll want enough fuel and a perfect tune to get there. My .02...

A good set of heads will make this much easier.

numbers in my sig off 228r cam just around 400 2hp off. I'm pretty sure if I dyno again I will hit 400+ that motor was crazy hot when I got those numbers. If I took a while to let it cool and ran it again I'm sure it would of went over. Plus I need a oil change and some more **** when It was dynoed.
