it looks just like the brand new cam i have in my room. main thing is to look for scraps or like something out of the ordinary on the lobes and bearing area.

ok, thats what I thought, just the yellow and blue spot that scared me off since I'm a noob..

looks like the cat is gonna eat the camera, and as long as the cam isnt gouged or anything should be good

make sure theres no flat spots or dimples in the lobes and clean the cat hair off it stuff it in

Under it, you can feel that is rough and rugged. As if some material chipped off between the lobes. Dont know if its worth anything since its not on the lobes or cam bearing spot..

In the first pic, the lobe to the right of the yellow paint, is that a gouge or just something from the camera?

As long as theres no gashes,chunks missing,etc on the lobes or cam journals than its fine.
