Default what do you think this cam will make?

I installed my new cam about a month ago and Im curious to see what you think it would/could/should make. Heress what im working with:

Mods: Hooker Longtubes, 2.5" True Duals dumped, Whisper Lid, Smooth Bellow, and FRA. All the rest is suspension. Stock Clutch, Stock Rear, Stock Gears, Stock LS1 intake, Stock TB, Stock Pulley.

Bolt On Dyno Numbers: 321rwhp/334rwtq

The new cam-
234/230 .598/.591 112+2

With just a cam/valvetrain swap, what would you expect?

Im looking for some insight. Everyone at my place of work told me this cam wouldnt work, but i stuck my neck out and did it anyway. Hoping for some power, I did gain SOME, but not quite what I was looking for. So im curious as to what other people/tuners/technicians think about it.

Im still in a quandrey as to why this cam didnt work.

So.. what did it make?
With the stock pulley, Tb, and the LS1 intake.. I'm going to say 380rwhp would be more than acceptable.

I'm gonna guess 350-355

Something is not right, and is badly off, IMO. You say you have no tuning, that would probably help a ton, but (if) you didn't have tuning with the 232/236 (that performed much better), that doesn't really seem to make sense, either.

Your numbers are really low, especially for duals, stock rear, etc. I would have thought you would have gained more with this. Whos cam is it? Good luck with it, its been a bad couple of weeks for cars down there, huh?

I thought 232 was as big as you could go on the intake?

N E ways, I would hope for 385-390 on your M6 as my little 228 made 377 with stock Ls1 intake, stock TB, and stock pulley.

so you think he gained about 60rwhp cam only? his bolt on numbers are low to begin with so i would assume his cam would follow the same route.

It made 354rwhp/34X rwtq

My previous cam made 381rwhp/354rwtq. Exactly 60 with just a cam swap. (previos specs: 232/236 571/577 112)

Who spec'd the cam, and have they ever "designed" an LS1 cam before?

I spec'd the cam. I took a big duration with a rather large lift on a 112. This theory just proves, bigger, id not always better.

No, this theory proves that there is more to a cam than duration, lift, and LSA. I have a LGM G5X3, and Lou tried 3 or 4 different cams with the same "specs" (duration, lift, lsa, etc) and had a wide range of results. Just a degree off here, and a degree off there can be the difference between a 400rwhp cam only car, and a 350rwhp cam only car. You can call Comp Cams with the "specs" of a TSP 231/237, LGM G5X2 or G5X3, MMT M2, and get something that is not exactly alike the "real" thing. TR has proven that reverse split cams work (230/224, 236/230)....

Thats why I laugh when people find out the specs of a "secret" cam, and the results are anything but similar.
