Default spun rod bearing?

So i was on the highway and got on it and after that i start to hear a small ticking sound from the motor. It is now a lot louder but my oil pressure is still at 40 psi while at idle. Just checked the springs and rockers and they look fine. Drained the oil and there is a bunch of small metal shavings and one small chunk of metal. What do you guys think the problem is? Thanks.

Is there any loss of power? I was told shavings from bearings wouldn't stick to the magnet on the plug. It is possible to maintain oil pressure and have a spun bearing tho. If it isn't that hard for you and you have the skills and time, drop the pan and take a look.

If it's a bearing unplug each plug wire 1 by 1 and start the car to check each cylinder. If its got a spun bearing the knocking/ticking noise will go away on the cylinder that's not firing due to pressure on the bearing

Metal on the magnet is most likely going to be a spun bearing. Mine was covered when mine spun and stacked. It's an ugly site, most definitely. There's really not much else that can give off little shavings of metal.

If the bearings are taking out the crank you will see metal shavings on the magnet. Bearings are not magnetic so that will not show up on magnet but a UOA will tell you ij bearings are in the oil....
