I'm still doing a lot of research on this, and I think the two you're talking about hold it to the bell housing. They're the "long bolts" everyone forgets about when trying to take the pan off.

Yes, those are the pan's rear side bolts. And yes the torque figure is very low on them, I can't think of it right off hand. Like 85 inch/pounds or something.

DO ABSOLUTELY NOT TORQUE THOSE DOWN TO 18 FT. LBS... It royally sucks having to coax a brocken bolt out of your block... I don't even put a torque wrench on them just finger tight and a quick snug up with a socket.
