Mine is a 2000 model year. Makes peak power at 6500, shifts at 6700, rev limiter set to 6800. 132,xxx miles and still runs strong.

K-member must be removed to drop the pan. Don't remove the cap but replace one bolt at a time. I would only use Katech bolts since you will not be getting the rods resized. This is a contoversial topic but if you search there is a lot on it in here. Basiclly in THEORY ARP's are physically bigger and exert different clamping force thus distorting rod ends resulting in spun bearings...

im guna go ahead a subscribe. im also going to be doing a H/C swap. ill be dropping the whole front k member, so if its worthwhile doing rod bolts then i might.

but, from what im reading, rpm is harder on rod bolts than hp. ive seen some nitrous guys spraying and hitting 6-650 to the wheels on stock rod bolts, but they arent doing 7k either...
