Default Need some help on buying these heads

Hi Guys,

I am thinking seriously about buying these heads, they are used but at a great price. They are Stage 2 heads with a 5-angle valve job Manley stainless steel 2.02/1.6 valves and the flow at 290cfm. They have comp 941 dual valve springs and he is also throwing in a new set of 941's as well. He said that they were portmatched to equal or outflow the Morgan Stage 2 heads. The heads are from Hayden AutoWorks in southern California and they supposedly build race motors and such. So what do you guys think? The guy is asking 1300 shipped for them, should I go for it? The mods are in my sig.

Thanks Alot,

Erfan <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

I think those Stage 2 heads are a rip-off at $1300 and would be much better suited to my Arctic White SS than your Arctic White Z28! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> Just kidding, go for it!

I'll sell you a set of my own Stage 2 heads w/manley products for 800 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />

aka, stock heads w/manley products

....

personally I wouldn't trust a company like this... no name...

I'd prefer to spend more and get heads that I know others are having good results with ..

Really.. that company isn't well known (at least in the LS1 world), so you'd be a guinee pig... I've learned that being one of the first (aka guinee pig) isn't worth it... I'd rather stick with what is proven, instead of try to save a few bux and risk getting screwed

Plug: I bought TEA stage 2 heads, haven't installed yet and have no numbers, but they're pretty big in the LS1 world now
