ya will keep it updated, dropped the heads off to get some valve work done.. iono if a 5 angle valve job is worth the money but every bit helps i guess..my plans and goals for this setup is to be low 11's high 10's with a 9" and 4:10 gears. well when i get the 9".. all motor. will port the heads when i get more money, but as for right now they should be more then enough.. and who know, maybe in the future i will spray :-)

really would like to see 450+ (rwhp) all motor, but that might be asking for too much.. crossing fingers! just ordered hp tuners, so going to do a race gas tune so i can squeeze every little bit out of this stock block i can.. then have a 91 tune for daily driven

yeah for sure a race gas tune is more agressive than a 91 octane tune.
if you dont mind me asking what kind of setup is this thing? and what kind of powerband is it designed for? this is something close to what i want to run with prc 243 stage 1s/duals and LS6 intake. only thing i would change for my setup is go to a 112-113LSA to kill off some of the lope. thats just for me tho

if you do some searching there are a few good threads on "aggressive tunes". some of the hardest running N/A setups use alot less timing than you might think. some run less than 26 degrees on an efficient setup. timing isn't gonna be the savior some might think

oh i know timing isn't going to make my car gain crazy numbers.. just trying to squeeze as much as i can out of it. and a race gas tune should get me closer to my goals then a 91 pump tune.

well i know the 243 heads raise compression a lil more then the stock 241's.. so its already getting a lil more compression from the get go. then if i mill the head will raise compression even more. would like to spray in the future, and i know some higher then stock compression engines run nice on the juice.. but thats with a worked engine with at least forged pistons.. never sprayed a stock block ls1 b4.. but i know my lil 302 5.0 loved the stuff, sprayed a 150 and it asked for more. if i was running a standalone fuel setup, how much juice could this lil engine handle with the appropriate head studs and head gasket?
