Default T Rex cam???

i hate to throw another cam question into the 30+ daily. ive pretty much decided on the t rex cam from thunder racing. i was just wondering if anyone has anything to say about it, good or bad before i spend the money. also if a 110 lsa will work? the motor is stock other than headers and y pipe. but it wont be for long. i will be getting new heads, intake, throttle body, and may be able to throw on a few other things before summer. im not at all worried about driveability. any info or advice would be great.

thanks

Driveabilty wont be that great without a stall. it will clear stock heads. you'll have to flycut pistons or get aftermarket ones when you get heads. will def. need a tune.

ive read a little. need to do more tho. i heard it was a pretty nasty cam and i liked the specs so that was the start. figured i would see what people say who have it or are familiar with it before i spend hours researching and installing to find out its junk.

well, here is my 2 cents on the cam. Its a MONSTER!!!! To get the most out of that cam, you WILL need gear, no less then 4.10's with a 6 speed. You will need to spin it to 7200+ so I would recommend getting yourself some ARP or Katech rod bolts. Check PTV, then double check PTV. It is likelly going to be close, but SHOULD clear on stock heads. Every car is different. You will likelly have to flycut when you get the new heads. Get a GOOD tune, or you will hate driving it around town. Its going to be gutless on the bottom, but be prepared to pull like a freight train from middle to the top! Just my .02 cents. PS, ive got a set of heads for sale if your looking.

Ive got a set of Patriot Stage II heads. 2.055 intake valves, 1.570 exhaust valves. 59cc chambers. You will need to flycut with them, but the increase in flow and compression would wake it up. Im asking 800.00 PLUS shipping. They ahve less then 6k miles on them. patriot dual springs, titanium retainers, ferrea valves.

T-rex always had good results and its a big **** so you wont be disapointed. Some plp DD this cam since I heard its not so bad to tune...110 lsa will help to get power sooner. You might think about changing rod bolts to prevent failure at high rpm.
