at a minimum:
lid, long tube headers/ Y-pipe (unless you're doing duals)/ catback or cutout

things you should have:
Ported Throttle Body, at least an LS6 intake (you already have that on an '01), Underdrive Pulley

finally:
proper rear gear for your cam selection, clutch that can hold the power.

hey cal, what do you mean by this statement? finding headers for this combo, what makes it so expensive?

I personally am really liking the ASA cam I just put in mine a few months ago. It does do a little surging at low R's, but not to bad with tuning. It pulls hard to 6500+ rpms, has a way above average torque curve, and the valve train is as quiet as stock. It also sounds VERY nice IMO

I think my 238/242 .605/.610 110LSA cam is very streetable.
The tuner I have at Extreme Performance is very good and can make just about any cam "streetable".

why are the headers and exhaust such an issue? whats wrong with the regular aftermarket ones..? why would it be expensive to get them? cause I have my LS1 on a 240sx, and I want to go with around 450whp... N/A... but can't buy aftermarket headers because they will more probably hit my nissans steering control arm... wouldn't it be sufficient to make custom headers and exhaust?!

My Headers are custom 1.75 inches (primaries) and 3 inch single... combining both...

What People dont do is copy and paste a link to a similar artical, also you have a conversion car and its NOT ALL THAT COMMON consider the other questions people ask.

As for LSX motors they come out of box making huge N/A power at the time and the cars gain so well with exhaust mods and intake mods that a cam is just going to love it just that much more.

OFTEN people post about how dissapointed they are on what they made for power but doesnt realize that its the combonation of parts that make the better power instead of the individual and MOST dyno's of a given cam profile will OFTEN take into consideration that other basic mods being done 1st. "Backward" modding isnt a great way to be impressed.

And then again, "Streetability" is often most defined by the opinion of the driver based on their tolerence

This cam is way too old to bring back from the dead.
