LS6 cam install probs

LS6 cam install probs just curious i just installed a 2002 ZO6 camshaft into my 98 TA and it wont seem to crank. sounds like the timing chain is off but i pulled the cover and it's dead on. i have compression and fire as well. not sure what the deal is. is the reluctor on the back of the cam the same tooth count? i know there is a 54T reluctor but i didnt think it was on 02 cars.
The reluctor wheel is on the crank not the cam, so that's not the problem. Scan for codes and see if you have one for cam sensor sync as this can indicate that the cam is installed incorrectly. What pushrods and rocker arms are you using?

what about the cam sensor then? i am using hardened 7.4s and stock rockers.

Yeah the cam sensor is in the back of the block. The cam should be a direct replacement. Check all your grounds to make sure they are connected properly. Is the security light in the gauge cluster on?

Just go through and make sure everything is pluged in properly.
Should fire right up, my 2000 did, had to give it throttle for a few secs for it to stay running and it idled rough for like 30 secs after that but it fired right up.
Didn't see any mention of this, you did change the springs didn't you?
