317 valve question
317 valve question I bought a set of ported 317 heads with patriot 650 springs. One of the intake valves has the center of it sucked up into it. The retainer and spring are sticking up about 1/4" higher than the rest. The valve looks like you hit it with a ball-peen hammer right in the center of it. Nothing seems to be hurt but I am going to have it checked out. My question is would the springs have caused this and has anyone had a problem like this?

Yeah I picked up a motor and it had two cylinders like that. They even put a hevier spring on it to try to get it to seal
