Expectations of LS6 intake Ok, what could expect by adding a LS6 intake to my combo?
I updated the cam to a TSP 231/237 .595/.598 @ 112*. Would like to think the intake is really holding me back. Would love to add a set of ported heads while I am at it, but will see.

Realistically, you'll see between 10-20 RWHP. Any more will be a bonus. The stock intake more than likely isn't the big "cork" you think it is, but the swap is a proven gainer. Want to wake it up? Do the heads. They're good, but compared to some good ported ones, they are inferior.

I gained over 25hp with my current mods switching to the LS6....if I wasn't so poor I'd have an LSX intake and a 231/236 .591/.601 112 cam push me well into close to 500 hp range

the LS1 intake is kinda a bottle neck too...even the STOCK CARS WITH SMALLER CAMS are making more power...partly due to the intake...I suggest waiting a lil while till people start selling the LS6's for 200 instead of 400 once the LSX comes out and performs unless you get a great deal on an LS6..
